Deals on action cameras for bikes
My camera section is, as the title suggests, dedicated to online deals I've found for action sports cameras. Typically helmet, chest or handlebar mounted, these cameras utilise a combination of high frame rates and motion stabilising technology to provide smooth video, even at high speed.
Prior to buying, please bear in mind: A) Some lesser known models may feature inflated RRPs, making them appear to be a better deal than they actually are. I try not to list these, but occasionally one or two might slip through the net.
B) Please check Youtube for sample videos - the chances are another cyclist or sports enthusiast has bought the same model, so hopefully you'll be able to see exactly what the camera is capable of. Generally speaking it's better to find real life customer footage rather than the manufacturer's official video, as this might be an unrealistic representation, heavily edited and filmed under perfect conditions.
Also see if you can find reviews by independent established websites (and not just biased affiliate websites trying to make a quick buck!). Hope you manage to save some money and record some great footage!
