With the same excellent performance as its big brother the Elixir CR, the Elixir 3 is a less expensive version with a little added weight.
The Elixir 3 features TaperBore technology found in the more expensive brakes offered by Avid.
TaperBore refers to the patent pending closure system that shaves weight, looks sleek, and improves lever feedback, and provides ultimate power and control. Enjoy the top- loading pad feature. Replace pads without even dropping your wheel! New disc- brake pads can be installed without taking the wheel off.
The Tri- Align calliper positioning system makes it easy to align your calliper to the rotor.
