Carrera Crossfire are a range of alloy hybrid bikes with front suspension, featuring 7 or 8 Speed Tourney Groupsets, Triple Chainsets, Disc or V-Brakes and 700c wheels, for sale between £300 and £400. Essentially Carrera Crossfire bikes are short travel hybrid bikes which are designed for riding on roads, with the odd gentle off-road excursion on canal paths, bridleways and the like. They're a good all-rounder for newcomers to cycling, with enough suspension to take the edge off small bumps, but not suitable for big jumps or rough off-road riding. The large 700c wheels will be fast rolling, and the triple chainset will help get you up even the steepest of climbs. There are models with V Brakes and Disc in this range, and if your budget will stretch then I would recommend upgrading to the latter for the increased stopping power.

Carrera Bikes
Carrera are predominantly known for their range of entry level bikes which are largely sold via retail giants Halfords. Carrera Bikes have a reputation for good value, and are aimed at those starting out in cycling, or "everyday riders" and "weekend adventurers" as they phrase it. They offer ranges for every age group and gender, from balance bikes and kids bikes for youngsters, through hybrids, road bikes and mountain bikes for adults, up to their most expensive models; Electric Bikes.
Given their widely available distribution by Halfords (every decent sized town has a store nearby), Carrera are an extremely popular choice amongst British riders. The huge buying power of Halfords enables the Carrera bikes to provide high specifications for each bike's relatively modest price tags. As a rough guide, kids bikes start at around £100, with adults ranging from £200-£1000 for regular bikes, and £1000-£2000 for e-bikes.
Carrera Parva Bikes
Carrera Parva are a range of cheap alloy hybrid bikes, featuring 14 Speed Tourney drivetrain, V-Brakes and 27.5" wheels for sale at around the £300 mark. Given the relatively low price, the Parva are classified as an entry level bike, with rigid forks and a less expensive braking system comprising of V Brakes. There are men's and ladies options in this range, with the latter featuring female specific geometry and sizing. Each Carrera Parva Bike provides a double chainset with a 7 speed cassette, which when combined with the lack of suspension means that there is little in the way of maintenance, especially given that this bike is solely designed for road use. In short, the Parva's are a decent choice as either a commuting bike, or for a new bike for occasional use by the casual cyclist.
Carrera Subway Bikes
Carrera Subway Bikes are a popular range of entry level rigid hybrids made by Carrera, featuring alloy frames, 16 Speed Tourney Groupsets, Disc Brakes and 27.5" wheels on sale for around £330. The majority of Subway bikes sold are the well received adult hybrids, which are available in both genders and also a junior version. In recent years, Carrera have added an E-Bike to the Subway line up, priced at just over the £1000 mark. The early incarnations of the Subway series featured V-Brakes, but these have been superseded by Disc Brakes in recent years. Essentially what you are getting with a Carrera Subway bike is reliable urban cycling on a budget, with little maintenance required. The frame is alloy, so it won't rust, and the 8 speed components will be cheap to replace as and when they wear out. The relaxed geometry and flat handlebar make the Subways an ideal bike for occasional or inexperienced cyclists; they're a great range of bikes for those who wish to cycle a few road miles every so often.
