Carrera are well known for their affordable line up of men's and women's mountain bikes. Usually costing between £300 to £600 sold exclusively at Halfords, featuring sturdy alloy frames, disc brakes and plush front suspension, their range of mountain bikes have proven to be very popular with British cyclists.
Some of their best selling MTBs include the Vengeance, Valour, Vulcan, Karkinos, Fury, Hellcat and Sulcata series of hardtails.
Full suspension Carrera mountain bikes are also available, including the entry level Detonate, and mid range Titan and Titan X. These models feature an alloy suspension frame to soak up the bumps, paired with a front suspension fork and disc brakes.
Carrea's specification for each mountain bike varies, but the majority have RST or Suntour suspension forks, Tektro or Shimano hydraulic disc brakes and aluminium frames with modern trail geometry.
Shimano supply the bulk of each drivetrain, and Carrera keep their prices competitive by using own brand finishing kit, such as handlebars and saddles.
Whilst in the past many Carrera MTBs featured either 26" or 29" wheels, their current selection exclusively use 27.5" diameter wheelsets.
Carrera's Mountain Bike range are currently available from £300 for the Hustle 1 MTB, to £550 for the Sulcata 3.1 Mens MTB.
