In 2018, Decathlon rebranded their bike ranges, with their B'Twin own brand being divided up into several smaller specialist labels.
Elops is the new name chosen to represent their series of traditional city bikes and hybrids, incorporating bikes for both men and women, as well as children and also a selection of functional electric bikes.
Historically, an Elops is a marine animal which on occasion is identified as a sturgeon or sea serpent. Either way, the Elops bikes are designed for road use, making them ideal for casual cyclists and commuters.
Other new ranges include the Rockrider mountain bikes, Triban Road & Gravel Bikes, Riverside Hybrids and Tilt folding bikes.
Prices for Elops bicycles range from £230 for the 500 24" 9-12 Kids City Bike, to £900 for the Elops 900 step-through Town Bike.
