The new model of our All Mountain AM 100 S full suspension mountain bike: geometry designed for steering, with 29" wheels for better speed and stability.

Choosing your mountain bike size: Several sizes available:.

S: 1.55m to 1.64m.

M: between 1.65m and 1.74m.

L: between 1.75m and 1.84m.

XL: between 1.85m and 1.95m. If you are on the limit between 2 sizes:.

Choose the smaller size for easier steering (easier to handle) and comfort (straighter back). Choose the larger size for easier pedalling with a more stretched-out position (position more suited to higher performance).

The story of the 100S all-mountain bike.: This mountain bike was fully designed and developed at the B'Twin Village (Lille, France) and is the brainchild of an expert team of all-mountain bike enthusiasts.

The Rockrider team designed and tested this Rockrider AM 100 S All-Mountain bike together with their MTB testers in the Vosges and the Alps. The AM 100 S is assembled at our own factory in Lille, just steps away from the bike design team.

Frame: The ROCKRIDER ALL MOUNTAIN frame offers 140 mm of travel on the rear wheel.

Its geometry has been optimised for steering: 66 degrees steering angle, 15 mm bottom bracket under the wheel axle. Made of 6061 and 6013 aluminium.

Lifetime warranty on the Switch & Ride frame: compatible with 27.5" and 29" wheels.

148 mm x 12 mm BOOST rear axle. Press Fit 92 bottom bracket. 31.6 mm diameter seat post.

Compatible with a bottle cage.

Weight in size S: 2.7 kg.

Front suspension: Rockshox 35 Gold fork with 150mm travel.

With new Burly 35mm damping rods for more stiffness and control, and a DebonAir (TM) pneumatic spring (which reduces rubbing), the shock absorption and response to loading are increased. Compatible with 27.5" and 29" wheels.

Rear suspension: Manitou McLeod Air 190X51 rear shock designed specifically for the Rockrider AM 100 S mountain bike.

Adjustable to reduce bobbing during long climbs on faster terrain. Drivetrain:. SRAM NX drive train, 1x12 single chainwheel, for lighter weight, more precision, faster gear changing, and greater durability.

Rack: 34 teeth (for the 2020 model), 30 teeth (for the 2021 model), compatible with 30, 32, or 34 teeth chainrings, accessible without having to change the chain.

Cassette: SRAM Eagle in 11-50 (11-13-15-17-19-22-25-28-32-36-42-50). The 50-tooth sprocket guarantees good gear reduction to help you climb the steepest slopes.

Riding position: Control your steering & stay precise. Rockrider Comp Flat handlebars, 760mm wide for greater stability. 35 mm stem.

Semi-integrated headset with sealed bearings. Lightweight Rockrider 900 "lock on" grips (attached to the handlebar with a screw-on system).

Brakes: SRAM Level T brakes, with the 4-piston brake calipers designed to cope with the most demanding terrain, offering improved bite and modularity.

180 mm front disc, 160 mm rear disc.

Saddle and seat post: The Rockrider XC/AM saddle has an Ergofit system for greater comfort while pedalling.

The height of the dropper seat post can be adjusted using the control on the bike's handlebar: 120mm of travel in size S/M and 150mm in L/XL.

The ability to lower the saddle in a second with a single press of the thumb is a real advantage for all-mountain biking. Feel at ease (and relaxed!) in your seating position on the bike during technical descents.

Wheels: Sun Ringle Duroc 30 wheels, with Boost axles, 15 mm at the front and 12 mm at the back.

Outer rim width: 30 mm. Watertight bearings. Equipped with a watertight rim strip that is Tubeless Ready compatible.

To switch to Tubeless Ready: simply add a Tubeless valve and tyre sealant. The original tyres are already Tubeless Ready.

Tyres: Hutchinson Taipan 29 x 2.25" and Toro 29 x 2.35" tyres.

A versatile tyre designed for riding on any type of terrain. High side knobs for good grip in the turns. Tubeless Ready.

Pedals: The bike is supplied with 520 Grip platform mountain biking pedals (ref: 8487130). However, for improved performance when pedalling and for better control of the bike when cycling, we recommend replacing them with clipless pedals with platforms or wide aluminium platform pedals.

A UNISEX MOUNTAIN BIKE: Men's or women's mountain bike? This Rockrider AM 100 S mountain bike is unisex.

For extra comfort, the women from our MTB team recommend shortening the handlebars, which will make the bike easier to handle.

Transporting your bike: The front and rear wheels attach and remove in 1 motion: you just need a hex key (size 6). The rear derailleur has a screed that locks and unlocks easily to easily attach or remove the rear wheel.

Weight: S - 155-164cm : 14.3 kg.m - 165-174cm : 14.4 kg.

L - 175-184cm : 14.6 kg.

XL - 185-195cm : 14.9 kg (bike without pedals).

B'Twin Bikes

B'Twin are a popular choice of bike in the UK, partly due to their widespread distribution by Decathlon, and partly due to the value they offer. Their bikes are divided into several slightly overlapping ranges, with Triban best known for road and gravel bikes, and Rockrider gaining a reputation for high performing MTBs to suit every budget. Elops largely consist of a range of city bikes, whereas Riverside focus on hybrids. All in all, B'Twin bikes are well worth checking out given the size of their ranges; there's a model to suit most budgets.

Rockrider Mountain Bikes

Rockrider are Decathlon's off-road offerings, comprising of a series of kids bikes and adult hardtails, full suspension steeds and even a handful of high end E-MTBs.

This brand was launched in 2018, when Decathlon decided to split their B'Twin bikes into different genres. In terms of prices, there's something for everyone, with adult's MTBs starting at just over £200 and rising up to high end lightweight race bikes at nearly the £4000 mark.
