Continental Race King RaceSport Kevlar Tyre
Its high-grip BlackChili compound is paired with a puncture-resistant RaceSport casing.
The superfast Continental Race King RaceSport model is a genuine race tyre with greater puncture protection than the previous Supersonic model yet without any significant weight penalty - a serious option for cross country (XC) racers.
The Black Chili compound works its wonders on fast-paced technical World Cup tracks and the toughest trails. Impressive in XC races and marathons, for hardtails and full suspension race bikes, it also has a voluminous carcass that gives great self-damping qualities. Plus, its low rolling tread pattern keeps your speed up through the turns and straights.
When the trails are dry, the Race King is faster, cleaner and safer with a rolling resistance that is almost on a par with semi-slick tyres.
Technologies: BlackChili Compound: Continental refine newly developed synthetic rubbers with natural rubber with this proven high-performance tread compound. They use these rubbers with special nanometric carbon soot particles, which are optimised in shape and surface properties for best uses for the intended tyre.
Tyres with BlackChili Compound reach an unprecedented level of performance. Compared to the previous best Activated Silica Compound, BlackChili tyres have 26% less rolling resistance, a 30% higher friction value (grip) and a 5% increase in mileage.
RaceSport Casing: Designed without compromise for use in mountain bike racing, the RaceSport casings combine consistent lightweight construction and noticeable superior puncture protection at the highest level.
In cooperation with renowned professional mountain bikers, Continental has created the perfect basis for competition tyres. Handmade in Germany, they offer rolling friction and puncture protection of World Cup quality.
