The design, geometries and materials used are all optimised for the utilisation. The Idol also offers a frame and fork manufactured using Super High-Modulus carbon fibre and features full internal cable routing. Super High-Modulus Carbon Fibre Two types of Super High-Modulus carbon fibre are used in the manufacture and both maintain a balance between structural rigidity, vibration absorption and weight.

The frame is a blend of T1000 (70%) and T800 (30%) carbon, thereby guaranteeing structural rigidity, absorption capacity and lightness to a very high level. The result is a lightweight and comfortable, modern frame that features the unique style and flair that comes with owning a De Rosa. Shimano Ultegra Drivetrain Light action Vivid Shifting is just one of many features taken from Shimano's top end groupsets, making the Ultegra 11 speed 6800 groupset a performance option for the masses.

The shifters and derailleurs incorporate Shimano's Vivid Shift technology, with a light but positive feel all the way through the 11 speed drivetrain, giving you the gear you want, when you want it, with the minimum of effort. With its two piece hollow axle design, the Shimano Hollowtech II chainset is both stiffer and lighter than a square taper chainset. Mounting the large diameter bearings outboard of the bottom bracket shell also provides increased stiffness and bearing life over standard cartridge units.

With 52 - 36 compact gearing, you can tackle even the steepest climbs with confidence. Ultegra Dual pivot brake calipers provide excellent braking power, with angle adjustable pads to ensure perfect pad alignment. A quick release lever aids installation and removal of wheels, for transportation or puncture repairs.

Fulcrum Racing Sport Wheelset De Rosa have polished the Idol off with a set of Fulcrum Racing Sport wheels. These are sealed cartridge bearing hubs with double-walled alloy rims, with these combined you get a smooth rolling, low rotational and overall weight making it that little bit more easier to role along the open road. To top it of the wheelset has been wrapped with a pair of Continental Grand Sport 25c tyres to give you maximum grip around the corners.
