The frame is built around full race geometry, with relatively steep angles and a high bottom bracket. While the bike has been designed as a race machine, it is more than capable of handling micro-adventures.

The build on the Balun is complete with a 105 groupset, FSA 46/36 chainset and Custom WTB bolt thru wheelset matched to WTB Cross Boss tyres. Ritchey finishing kit, with the new flared evo max handlebar and a Fizik Monta saddle will keep you rolling with confidence all season long. Shimano 105/FSA Drivetrain Light action Vivid Shifting is just one of many features taken from Shimano's top end groupsets, making the 105 11 speed 5800 groupset a performance option for the masses.

The shifters and derailleurs incorporate Shimano's Vivid Shift technology, with a light but positive feel all the way through the 11 speed drivetrain, giving you the gear you want, when you want it, with the minimum of effort. Yet the details can't be ignored. And not just because of its new smoothly integrated design.

The cold-forged aluminum arms are heavily scalloped for the maximum strength to weight ratio. The chainrings are CNC machined from still-tougher 7075 aluminum, and ramped and pinned for the most rapid, precise shifting. Shimano Hydraulic Disc Brakes Using the all new Shimano BR505 dropbar hydraulic disc brakes give the Balun the stopping power it needs down the hills.

The dual piston caliper ensures even brake wear and a greater performance. Its index shifting mechanism offers the 11 speed drivetrain an economical brake/gear lever but a smooth and elegant gear change. Ritchey/Fizik Finishing Kit Finishing the Balun off is a set of bars, stem and seatpost from the Comp and OE series by Ritchey in black.
