Eastway Zener AL D2 Tiagra Alloy Disc Road Bike 2017

It has an endurance geometry for taking on the biggest rides and in any weather.

It's designed to tackle those long or short rides whilst offering up as much comfort as possible, and shares its all-round ride capabilities with its lightweight all carbon fibre sibling.

Carbon Fibre Forks Part of the reason the Zener AL shares similar ride capabilities with the all carbon fibre model is because it shares the same High-modulus T700 HM-UD carbon fibre fork. Not only does this keep the weight low, it helps to dampen road vibrations when riding over poor road surfaces. The Zener AL may not have an all carbon frame, but with its high-quality 6061-T6 alloy frame and carbon fork it keeps the price lower and with only a slight increase to the overall bike weight.

Endurance-specific Geometry Compared to the all-out race design of Eastway's Emitter range, the Zenier AL is slightly taller at the front and shorter overall. This ensures a more upright, relaxed riding position to make it ideal for taking on epic distances. However, this does not mean that the Zenier AL cannot be used for riding at top speed, as with plenty of handlebar height adjustability, you can also set it up for a more aerodynamic riding position.

Shimano Tiagra Drivetrain The Shimano Tiagra groupset builds on the technologies of its previous models and adopts some new ones from the higher spec models such as the crank's 4-arm spider, giving you clean looks, fast and smooth shifting and excellent performance. Plus, with the chainsets 50/34T compact chainrings, which are combined with an 12-28T cassette, it provides easy climbing a good top speed on the flat. The 10-Speed Tiagra STi levers offer much improved ergonomics under tape cable routing and smoother shifter and lever movement.

TRP Spyre Mechnical Disc Brakes Thanks to its dual sided mechanical system, the TRP Spyre mechanical disc brakes are amongst the best performing road disc brake available. In addition to this, they offer hassle free wheel installation, less wear and tear on wheels and much reduced pad wear. Taking all this into account, it's easy to see why they're so highly rated by many in the cycling press.
