The Lava Dome hardtail features a 6061-aluminium frame with modern enduro-inspired slack geometry, a 9-Speed microShift groupset with a wide-ranging 11-46T cassette and Tektro disc brakes.
Plus, it's equipped with SR Suntour suspension forks, Joytech hubs and 29" Alex rims wrapped in WTB Trail Boss tyres. Efficient, Agile and Fun Cross Country Hardtail Bike Engineered to provide efficient and dependable performance, the Lava Dome features a precise and smooth-shifting Microshift Advent 9-speed drivetrain with a clutch rear derailleur as well as reliable Advent shifters and sleek internal cable routing. This version rolls upon 29" wheels that can accept up to a 2.6" tyre making it ready for everything in its path.
Plus, it's equipped with Tektro hydraulic disc brakes for exceptional all-weather braking power. Durable and Lightweight Kona Alloy Frame Kona 7005 and 6061 Aluminium alloys are used extensively throughout their range of mountain and asphalt bicycles. A tough, durable, light alloy, both Kona 7005 and 6061 deliver fantastic, reliable performance that lasts for thousands of rides.
Much of our 7005/6061 tubing is butted and/or formed, meaning the tubing's wall thickness can be increased or decreased, as well as shaped, so they can fine-tune a particular frame's strength and ride characteristics depending on its intended application. Stable, Balanced and Comfortable Frame Geometry More girth at the bottom of the head tube better distributes shock force, prolonging the bearing life of the headset itself and eliminating brake shudder, while providing confident steering performance. The inherent strength of its triangular design also means a stronger steering position and improved balance, giving the rider more control in rough terrain.
