2018 Merlin X3.0 Tiagra Gravel Bike
We've created a disc-brake equipped bike with plenty of clearance for wide, comfortable tyres and included full mudguards that can be quickly removed and refitted depending on your mood and the conditions making this Shimano Tiagra equipped bike a true all-year-round bike capable of taking on weekend adventures over tracks and trails as well as being able to cope with the daily commute to and from work in all weathers.
Made from lightweight aluminium so it's strong enough to take the odd knock the X3.0 features a light, comfortable Oryx carbon fork with an alloy steerer and a thru-axle to enhance stiffness and steering precision as well as eliminating the potential for any brake rub.
The geometry of the Merlin X3.0 Gravel bike has been designed to put you in a neutral, stable position on the bike to helping you negotiate the challenges of off-road terrain and the demands of being on the bike for longer rides and with clearance for 40mm tyres an already comfy ride can be a super plush almost armchair-like experience. A reliable Shimano Tiagra 4700 groupset offers dependable shifting, enhanced with a weather protected hidden cable routing and is combined with TRP's simple but reliable Spyre C mechanical disc-brakes which offer safe, consistent braking in all weathers and riding conditions. Well specced with light but durable Fulcrum Racing Sport DB wheels combined with fast rolling Clement X'Plor 36mm wide tyres the Merlin X3.0 features Deda finishing kit and a comfortable Forza Stratos saddle.
