Park Tools Master Link Pliers are designed to help remove and replace master links in modern chain systems, although not needed when new, they are invaluable on a used chain which can become 'stubborn' when attempting to separate the joining link.
When the elements you ride in take their toll on your chain, removing and reinstalling the masterlink can become a more difficult task than it ought to be. The specially designed MLP-1.2 Pliers make sure this tricky job is a thing of the past. A simple insertion of the tool's specially measured jaws right into the masterlink lets you squeeze the handles to open the link to take it out, while pulling them apart to closes the link to secure it back in place.
A time and effort saving tool, the Master Link Pliers MLP-1.2 is a handy tool for back-up when you need it. Handy tool to help separate tight. 'Masterlinks' in non-Shimano chains.
For quick and effortless removal and replacement. Time, dirt and corrosion can make it very difficult to separate by hand. Simply insert the specially sized jaws into the Masterlink and squeeze the handles.
