Two different types of merino, one of the most effective and lightweight insulators out there, come together perfectly in the ultimate balance between warmth and ventilation, keeping you cosy when the arctic blasts blow around you yet cool and free from sweat when the sun appears from behind a cloud. The blend also feels wonderfully soft and luxurious against the skin. But it's the addition of a hood that really makes this base layer really stand out.
It's designed to replace an effective winter balaclava and gives you the same "frogman" protection around the edges of the face, and it's light enough to slip under a hood while still holding its comfortable shape. Throughout you'll find flatlocked seams to avoid chafing, reflective tabs keep you safe and seen, and thumb loops tuck into gloves easily.
