When you need to come to a stop, the RL1 Disc, as the name suggests, comes equipped with powerful mechanical disc brakes that work brilliantly, whatever the weather. While the RL1 Disc's 32 C tyres offer plenty of grip and the potential to ride on tarmac, mud or gravel roads, you can actually fit right up to 42 C rubber in the frame, making serious off road riding, or even racing, into an achievable prospect. The Alex rims are tough enough to take the knocks, while light enough to allow you to spin up to speed with ease and Shimano hubs are the most reliable and easily maintained on the market.
