Santa Cruz 5010 R1 MTB 2017
Featuring the Santa Cruz Virtual Pivot Point (VPP) that enables the bike to make the most of its 130mm rear travel, have shorter chainstays and lower bottom bracket height.
This frame design has a low centre of gravity, which creates a playful, responsive and downhill worthy frame that also excels on the steepest of technical climbs.
Exceptional Climbing, Superb Descending This bike has exceptional climbing and long-distance ability, but it is when travelling back down the mountain that its performance qualities really shine. This version of the 5010 has a 67 degrees headangle and a long top tube; this grants the option of using a short stem for maximum handling finesse a is a definite control boost. The steep frame geometry combined with the superb handling make this bike a gravity trail fanatics dream ride; it is a bike that is suited to riding literally All over the Mountain.
Increased Durability, Performance and Stiffness This version of the 5010 shares all the same VPP hardware as its big brother, the Bronson. This consists of a top tube mounted box section upper shock link, which is a massive leap in terms of durability, performance and stiffness. This also means that the lower link rest safely and cleanly out of the way, significantly increasing lower clearance, which dramatically reduces the chance of rock strikes.
