Stages Ultegra 6700 Power Meter
It is a replace left hand crank with 20 grams unit which houses an array of high technologies adapted from the rapid advancement in modern electronics.
The accelerometer based cadence measurement is made possible thanks to technology developed for use in smart phones.
Meaning there's no need for magnets or zip ties on the bike. Stages Power meter's uses bilingual communication between ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart protocols, the latter gives Stages the ability to 'future proof' this power meter by updating it's firmware wirelessly using iPhone 4S or iPad 3 (or later) devices. This keeps the housing impenetrably sealed from the elements.
By using Bluetooth Smart, it means that you can upload your ride directly from your iPhone to Strava or Training Peaks before your shoes and helmet are even off. The Stages Power meters are a great cheaper way to of using power in your training. It's simple to fit to install and to use all you need is a ANT+ device like a Garmin ''510'' on the bike.
Or by using Bluetooth from your iPhone on Strava. Compatibility Shimano Ultegra 6700 cranks. Weight only adds 20 grams to base crank arm.
