The Verge S8i features a durable and lightweight aluminium frame with Tern's sturdy and fast folding OCL+ frame joint.
Tern has fitted with a Shimano Alfine 8-Speed drivetrain and a Gates Carbon belt drive for a reliable, smooth and silent transmission. Also, it's armed with Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes, a wide beam front light and an Andros handlebar/stem combo. For your convenience, this modern stylish bike folds away for transport or storage in under 10seconds.
Versatile, Low-Maintenance and Efficient Folding Bike The Verge S8i is the world's most versatile ultra-low-maintenance folding bike. It's designed around a Gates belt drive and Shimano's 8-speed internal-gear Alfine hub. OCL+ Frame Joint Folding Design A heavy-duty update to Tern's iconic OCL frame hinge, the OCL+ is built to exceed ISO 4210 and EN 15194 testing requirements.
Leveraging the hinge design of the long-tail Tern Cargo Node, the OCL+ features a single-shaft design, advanced welding techniques, and robust gussets, so it stays stiff and strong during even the fastest commutes. Physis 3D Adjustable Handlepost Five patented technologies and unique manufacturing technology add up to the strongest, stiffest folding handlepost available. The Physis uses a special manufacturing process called 3D forging, which forms the post from a single piece of aluminium, eliminating all welds.
